It unites us, inspires us, and challenges us to be better every day, driven by our agile, performance-focused culture.\nAbout the role\nThe Cyber Cloud, Data and AI SME Engineer is a senior technical engineering role responsible for the expert design, implementation, optimisation, and ongoing support of the organisation’s cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments. This position provides deep technical expertise to ensure the effective delivery, integration, and BAU operation of cloud security, data protection, and AI security capabilities. The role reports to the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager and works closely with architecture and engineering teams to translate solution designs into robust, secure, and maintainable systems. \nRole Responsibilities\nAct as the subject matter expert for the design, build, configuration, integration, and optimisation of cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments.\nParticipated in the technical implementation and deployment of new cloud, data, and AI security capabilities and enhancements. \nProvide expert engineering support for the day-to-day BAU operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of cloud security, data protection, and AI security platforms. \nCollaborate with the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager, Solution Architects, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented effectively and meet business and security requirements.\nDevelop and maintain technical standards, configuration baselines, automation scripts, and operational procedures for cloud, data, and AI security systems. \nSupport incident response and problem management activities related to cloud, data, and AI environments, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes. \nMonitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives. \nContribute to the evaluation and selection of new tools or enhancements within the cloud, data, and AI security domain.\nBasic Qualifications:\n+5 years of hands-on engineering experience in cloud, data, or AI security\nDeep hands-on expertise with cloud security platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), data protection and privacy technologies, AI/ML security controls, and secure AI development pipelines. \nExperience with Microsoft Azure security tooling and cloud-native security solutions. \nProven track record in implementing and supporting complex cloud, data, and AI security solutions in large-scale, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, REST APIs, etc.). \nKnowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, NIS Regulations, ISO 27001, SOx, CSA CCM).\nCISSP or CISM (or equivalent) \nWhy Haleon?\nNone of us should ever feel like we’re standing still.
