It unites us, inspires us, and challenges us to be better every day, driven by our agile, performance-focused culture.\nAbout the Role\nThe Digital and Tech Solution Expert: Operational Finance plays a critical role in ensuring Haleon's Technology Platforms enable our enterprise finance processes to be designed, governed and operated in a consistent, scalable and future-fit way.\nThe Solution Expert is the enterprise functional technology expert for Operational Finance processes and is responsible for providing deep SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA expertise across solution design, delivery, service operations and continuous improvement under the Solution Owner for Record-to-Decision (R2D).\nThis role sits at the centre of Haleon's finance transformation agenda, supporting the transition from legacy processes to integrated, standardised and digitally enabled ways of working. The role ensures operational finance processes remain compliant, efficient and aligned with enterprise standards whilst supporting both business continuity and strategic transformation programmes.\nThe Solution Expert acts as a trusted advisor to Business Process Owners, Process Experts and Delivery Teams, ensuring solution decisions are informed by deep functional expertise, SAP best practices and enterprise technology principles.\nThe Solution Expert safeguards Haleon's Technology Principles through adoption of standard SAP capabilities, minimisation of custom development, and delivery of scalable solutions that accelerate business value and support long-term operational excellence.\nRole Responsibilities: Operational Finance\nSAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC Based Functional Expertise In\nSAP Financial Accounting (FI)\nSAP Controlling (CO)\nMonth-End and Period-End Closing Processes\nFinance Master Data Management\nAsset Accounting (AA)\nProject Accounting (PS)\nJournal Processing and Allocations\nBalance Sheet Reconciliations and Financial Controls\nUniversal Journal and S/4HANA Finance capabilities\nFinancial process integration across Record-to-Decision and adjacent finance processes\nSolution Delivery\nOwn functional solution expertise, standards, delivery governance and technical documentation for assigned Operational Finance processes.\nDeliver ERP programmes and enhancements aligned with global standards and business priorities through internal and external delivery teams.\nEnsure standardisation and harmonisation of finance solutions across markets and business units.\nSupport SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementation, deployment and transformation programmes.\nDrive fit-to-standard adoption and simplification of finance processes.\nSolution Design\nEnable business process design and continuous improvement activities across all phases of Enterprise Transformation (Design, Build, Test, Deploy and Sustain).\nProvide expert input into design authority decisions and governance forums for Operational Finance processes.\nDefine scalable and supportable SAP solutions aligned to business requirements and enterprise architecture principles.\nPartner with Business Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Data Teams and other Solution Owners to ensure integrated end-to-end process design.\nAssess impacts of solution changes across finance, reporting, controlling and reconciliation processes.\nOperate Existing ERP Solutions\nDeliver ongoing BAU enhancements and operational support across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance landscapes.\nProvide functional leadership and expert troubleshooting for critical finance incidents and business issues.\nSupport business-critical month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.\nAccountable for maintaining functional integrity of Operational Finance processes including legal, statutory, audit and compliance-driven changes.\nSupport lifecycle management of finance applications including upgrades, releases and process improvements.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Business Process Owners, Process Experts, Finance Leaders and Local Market Teams to embed and sustain process improvements.\nEnsure effective integration across interconnected processes including Source-to-Pay, Lead-to-Cash, Record-to-Decision and Enterprise Data.\nCollaborate closely with Data, Compliance, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Testing and Change Management teams.\nAct as the key SAP Finance functional expert supporting global transformation initiatives.\nOperations, Continuous Improvement & Innovation\nEnsure Operational Finance processes remain available, reliable and effective through partnership with Support and Service Operations teams.\nMonitor process performance and identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and simplification.\nDrive adoption of SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities and best practices.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives that improve close cycles, financial controls, efficiency and user experience.\nEnsure finance technology solutions continue to evolve in support of Haleon's long-term strategy and transformation roadmap.\nEssential Skills\n10+ years of total experience, 2 to 4 years of strong functional expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.\nProven experience delivering SAP Finance programmes, enhancements and operational support across global organisations.\nDeep expertise across Financial Accounting, Controlling, Month-End Close, Asset Accounting, Project Accounting, Journal Processing, Allocations and Reconciliations.\nStrong understanding of finance operations, accounting principles and financial controls.\nExperience supporting SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.\nEnterprise-first mindset;
