The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEssential Functions\nGreets and seats guests, presents menus to guests\nTreats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.\nTakes names on a waiting list.\nRuns the floor plan board.\nObserves tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.\nTakes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.\nCleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.\nAnswers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.\nInteracts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.\nTransfer to-go orders, if applicable.\nMaintains restrooms throughout shift as well as any necessary routine cleaning.\nSweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.\nUse computer software for reservations and POS.\nPerforms other duties as directed.\nOpens door for quests entering and exiting the building.\nCompetencies\nCustomer Focus.\nCommunication Proficiency.\nOrganizational Skills.\nStress Management/Composure.\nMulti-task oriented.\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment\nA restaurant and bar environment. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.\nPhysical Demands\nPosition requires standing, reaching, bending, and walking the entire workday.
