This role assists with managing case deadlines, maintaining case files, reviewing and organizing documents, coordinating with clients and third parties, and helping ensure the efficient progression of matters from inception through resolution. All Hall Render Paralegals also support other specialty needs such as Real Estate, etc.\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:\nLegal Research, Discovery & Analysis\nConduct legal and factual research under attorney supervision \nSummarize research findings, case law, and deposition testimony \nRead, analyze, and summarize depositions and other case materials \nSupport discovery processes, including document collection, production, and review \nOrganize and manage electronically stored information (ESI) databases \nLegal Documentation and Materials\nDraft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and affidavits \nPrepare discovery requests and responses in both hard copy and electronic formats \nAssist in preparing legal filings and supporting materials \nAssist attorneys with deposition preparation, including exhibits and lines of questioning \nAssist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits and witness files \nProvide logistical and technological trial support (local or national) \nCase Management & Organization\nOrganize and maintain case files, legal documentation, and records \nUpload, retrieve, and manage documents within client databases and internal systems \nMaintain well-structured files for efficient litigation support \nManage litigation and/or other workflows and assist with case/project management \nFile documents with state and federal courts, as well as administrative tribunals \nEnsure compliance with court rules, procedures, and filing deadlines \nTrack and manage important case deadlines \nClient & Stakeholder Communication\nCommunicate professionally with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and internal teams \nCollaborate with teams across multiple locations \nMaintain clear and timely communication throughout case lifecycles \nRequirements\n Primary Competencies:\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills \nHigh level of discretion and confidentiality with the ability to operate under minimal supervision \nExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills \nConfidence and finesse in interacting directly with attorneys, clients and other stakeholders \nDemonstrated team player and problem solver \nAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment \nAlignment with Hall Render’s Core Values (Excellence in the Whole Person, Caring Relationships, Diversity, Inclusion, Respect, and Integrity) \n Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Education:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field, or equivalent experience \nParalegal certification preferred; may be required in some locations \nThree (3) years of paralegal or related experience in a law firm or corporate legal department \nStrong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document management \nUnderstanding of electronic filing platforms including state and federal Electronic Case Filing \nExperience with all levels of litigation-including case intake, pre-suit investigations, discovery, motion practice, and trial \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools \nExcellent administrative, writing, grammar and proofreading skills \n Schedule/Location:\nMonday to Friday; flexibility in schedule and core hours \nFlexibility to work overtime when needed \nHybrid role (3 days/week in office); special approval required for exceptions \n Travel and Physical Requirements:\nLimited travel \nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer \nFrequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment \nOccasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching \nAbility to lift and carry up to 10-15 pounds (e.g., files, documents, office supplies) \nVisual acuity to read screens, review documents, and analyze detailed information \nAbility to communicate effectively via phone, video, and in person \nNOTE: This job description covers essential job duties and requirements are not intended to be allinclusive.
