Hallcon provides essential services spanning multi-modal operations, integrated command centers, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, technology integration, analytics, business intelligence, fleet management, specialty cleaning, and overall rider experience performance.\nRole Overview \nResponsible for the daily coordination of field operational issues to ensure safe and timely transportation service to our customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee daily operations across assigned locations to ensure safe, timely, and dependable transportation service.\nEnsure locations are appropriately staffed and scheduled to maximize vehicle utilization, service coverage, and customer satisfaction seven days per week.\nMaintain adequate relief-driver coverage and ensure road and yard assignments support operational demand and required employee time off.\nProvide direct road or yard driving support when necessary to maintain service continuity, subject to applicable licensing and qualification requirements.\nPartner with Field Operations and other internal teams to resolve service issues and support regional business needs.\nLead, coach, and hold accountable Site Supervisors, Location Supervisors and Drivers.\nHire, onboard, and train employees in job responsibilities, company policies, safety expectations, and customer service standards.\nMonitor performance and provide timely coaching, counseling, recognition, and corrective action in a fair and consistent manner.\nMaintain open communication with employees and regularly meet with supervisors and drivers regarding service, safety, and operational priorities.\nEnsure employee records, payroll-related documents, and other required personnel paperwork are submitted accurately and on time.\nChampion the company’s safety culture and support safety goals through audits, staffing practices, training, vehicle readiness, and consistent follow-through.\nEnsure required safety training is completed on time and reinforce safe work practices across all assigned locations.\nEnsure accidents and injuries are reported immediately and that the Manager’s First Report of Accident is completed and submitted within 24 hours.\nCoordinate required documentation for workers’ compensation claims and other incident-related processes.\nConduct operational and safety audits and address identified gaps through corrective action and follow-up.\nEnsure vehicles are clean, safe, and maintained in accordance with company policies and customer expectations.\nAudit monthly inspection logs completed by local operations personnel and conduct periodic physical vehicle inspections.\nComplete required semi-annual vehicle inspections within established timelines.\nCommunicate with the Fleet Department regarding maintenance concerns, repair priorities, policies, and procedures.\nCoordinate vehicle repairs in partnership with Fleet, balancing safety, service needs, cost, and operational impact.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with customer field leadership, including superintendents, trainmasters, safety officers, and other key contacts.\nProvide timely communication regarding staffing, safety, service performance, incidents, and corrective actions.\nRepresent Hallcon professionally and respond to customer concerns with urgency, sound judgment, and accountability.\nQualifications\nHigh School diploma or G.E.D.\n2 years Management experience in transportation, logistics or similar industry.\nKnowledge of Employment Law\nHave a clear understanding of the English language\nAbility to safely operate a motor vehicle\nValid Drivers License with no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years, no alcohol / drug related convictions within the last 3 years, no careless/reckless driving conviction with the last 3 years.\nClean Controlled Substance Screen\nMust be at least 21 years of age\nWorking knowledge of computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing preferred\nMust be willing to travel regionally up to 75% of the time\nPhysical Demands \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees may be scheduled to work weekends, holidays and overtime as need to ensure that our clientele receives the highest level of service.
