This role provides exposure to public company financial reporting, SEC compliance, U.S. GAAP, and financial statement disclosure requirements.\nWorking closely with members of the External Reporting team and cross-functional partners including Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Corporate Accounting, the Associate Accountant will assist in the preparation of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K filings, earnings releases, and other external reporting requirements. This position is designed to provide foundational experience in financial reporting and develop technical accounting and analytical skills.\n Responsibilities and Essential Duties\nSupport the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, utilizing Workiva (reporting platform).\nParticipate in the preparation of quarterly earnings release materials, earnings call support documentation, and related analyses.\nAssist in gathering, validating, and organizing financial and non-financial information used in external reporting deliverables.\nPrepare and maintain supporting schedules, analyses, and workpapers used in the preparation of SEC reporting disclosures and management reports.\nSupport the completion of U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and related compliance procedures.\nPerform workpaper tie-outs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency across reporting documents.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain timely and accurate information for reporting and disclosure purposes.\nAssist with internal and external audit requests as needed.\nContribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reporting efficiency, accuracy, and controls.\nSupport special projects, ad hoc analyses, government surveys, and other assignments as requested by management.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.\nNo previous accounting experience required.\nStrong academic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.\nInterest in financial reporting, SEC reporting, and public company accounting.\nDemonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and accounting concepts.\nProgress toward CPA certification or intention to pursue the CPA designation.\nSkills\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively across functions and levels of the organization.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nFoundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP.\nWillingness to work additional hours during quarterly and annual filing periods, as needed.\n A plus, but not required\nPrior internship or co-op experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, or a related field.\nFamiliarity with SEC filings, Workiva, or financial reporting software.\nExperience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Nitro PDF Pro, or similar document management software.\nCandidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
