This role is primarily focused on backend engineering, distributed compute systems, cloud-native services, and scalable microservice architectures. The successful candidate will contribute to high-performance processing workflows, platform scalability, and modern engineering practices while also supporting web-based application development when needed.\nThe ideal candidate has strong Java experience, is comfortable working with distributed processing and cloud-native services and actively leverages AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality. Experience developing modern web applications and collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams is highly desirable\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience\nStrong Java and Cloud services experience.\nExperience utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day software development.\nExperience designing and supporting microservice-based systems.\nExperience with distributed compute platforms or large-scale processing systems.\nExperience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native deployments.\nExperience building and consuming REST APIs.\nExperience contributing to modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript-based frameworks.\nExperience working within Agile development teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nOil & Gas industry experience\nExperience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, etc.).\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\nCandidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
