This is where you can do your best work!\nJob Title: Accounting Assistant\nCompany: MicroSurgical Technology\nLocation: Redmond, WA\nDepartment: Accounting\nReports To: Controller\nJob Summary\nThe Accounting Assistant supports the Accounting team with day-to-day transactional activities, with a primary focus on accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and customer transactions while maintaining strong internal controls and supporting month-end close activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to a growing accounting team in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounts Payable (AP): Support the AP team with a variety of activities to include:\nProcess vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies\n\nManage vendor records, including onboarding and W-9 collection\n\nPrepare and process weekly payment runs (ACH, check, wire)\n\nReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies\n\nRespond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner\n\n Accounts Receivable (AR). Support the AR team with a variety of activities to include:\nGenerate and distribute customer invoices\n\nApply customer payments and reconcile AR balances\n\nMonitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices\n\nSupport credit and collections activities\n\nMaintain accurate customer account records\n\nGeneral Accounting Support:\nAssist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations\n\nSupport audit requests by gathering documentation and schedules\n\nMaintain organized and audit-ready financial records\n\nEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies\n\nAssist with process improvements and system enhancements as needed\n\nQualifications\n2+ years of accounting, AP/AR, or bookkeeping experience\n\nAssociate’s degree in Accounting preferred (will accept relevant work experience)\n\nStrong understanding of basic accounting principles\n\nExperience with ERP systems\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)\n\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills\n\nOn-site role based in Redmond, WA\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\n\nCollaborative team player with strong communication skills\n\nPay Range: $24 - $32/hr.
