The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of complex electro-mechanical systems, software integration, and data analysis, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead cross-functional collaboration during early design phases to define system interfaces and resolve electro-mechanical, optical, and software mismatches before the physical build begins.\nActively execute the physical integration of complex laser-based manufacturing prototypes, working directly with the hardware to seamlessly bring together diverse subsystems.\nArchitect the overarching system test strategy and execute complex test plans, ensuring complete coverage from subsystem characterization to full-scale validation.\nGet hands-on with the tools to perform deep-dive, system-level root cause analysis and resolve complex multi-disciplinary issues.\nWrite scripts, build automation tools, and analyze complex performance data to actively configure, tune, and optimize system parameters for peak stability.\nServe as the technical anchor for integration workflows, making critical upstream decisions while mentoring junior engineers on the floor to elevate their practical troubleshooting skills.\nPartner with manufacturing teams for smooth system handoffs, actively authoring robust documentation (assembly/test procedures, manuals) and presenting performance reports to engineering leadership.\nRequirements\nBasic Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a highly related technical field.\n8+ years of hands-on experience in system integration, ideally within a semiconductor, laser, or precision manufacturing environment.\nProven, highly hands-on experience assembling, integrating, and testing complex electro-mechanical systems, including optics, lasers, motion control, and automation hardware.\nStrong proficiency with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, etc).\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency in software programming/scripting languages such as Python or C#.\nDeep practical experience with one or more of the following: high-precision laser systems, optical alignment techniques, complex system calibration, precision motion systems, electrical distribution systems \nWorking knowledge of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes, equipment, and constraints.\nExperience deploying and scaling automation tools and testing frameworks in a lab or manufacturing setting.\nExceptional cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to align diverse engineering teams around technical solutions.\nBenefits\nHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nRetirement Plan (401k, IRA)\nPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)\nLife Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)\nFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)\nFree Food & Snacks\nStock Option Plan\nShort Term & Long Term Disability\nBase salary $ 165,000 - $ 185,000\nAdditional Information\nWe are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all team members feel valued and supported.
