This role bridges the knowledge gap between engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), and quality assurance to ensure all procedures are clear, scalable, and compliant. You bring strong technical writing and visualization skills, with the ability to quickly grasp and document complex hardware assemblies, precision systems, and operational workflows.\n Role and Responsibilities\nDevelop and update assembly, alignment, calibration, and test procedures for laser-based semiconductor tools.\nWork closely with engineering, optical, and manufacturing teams to proactively capture accurate process details.\nProduce illustrated work instructions and calibration/test guides using CAD drawings and photos.\nCreate standardized guides, SOPs, and technical onboarding templates for new hires.\nEnsure compliance with ISO 9001, SEMI, and laser safety (ANSI Z136) standards throughout all documentation.\nPartner actively with manufacturing operators, engineers, and design engineers to champion Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, ensuring documentation evolves with constructive feedback.\nRequirements\n Basic Qualifications\n3+ years of technical writing experience in the capital equipment industry.\nBachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience developing documentation for complex systems across mechanical, optical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines.\nSkilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, universally accessible documentation.\nExperience in developing and delivering technical training programs.\nStrong attention to detail, version control discipline, and procedural accuracy.\nExcellent written communication and visual presentation skills.\nProactive communication style with a proven ability to confidently interface with and interview engineering and NPI Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).\nExperience using PLM systems (e.g., Arena) for formal document control.\nProficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and modern AI productivity tools.\n Preferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of optomechanical assemblies, laser alignment, and motion/robotic subsystems.\nProficient and reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and optical schematics.\nBasic understanding of CAD viewing tools (SolidWorks) for extracting illustrations.\nWorking knowledge of SEMI and EHS documentation standards.\nExperience documenting compliance for ISO 9001, SEMI, and ANSI Z136 laser safety standards.\nEmbraces a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, regularly auditing existing documentation for clarity, accuracy, and process efficiency.\nHigh technical agility, with a track record of rapidly mastering and retaining knowledge of complex, proprietary hardware workflows.\nBenefits\nHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nRetirement Plan (401k, IRA)\nPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)\nLife Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)\nFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)\nFree Food & Snacks\nStock Option Plan\nAnnual Bonus Plan eligible\nBase Salary Range: $110K - $125K\nAdditional Information\nWe are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all team members feel valued and supported.
