This is a senior technical leadership role, you’ll own the design, optimisation, and validation of all RF and antenna systems across Halter’s products.\nFrom concept through to mass production, you’ll ensure that our devices perform reliably in challenging real world farm environments. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external parties to deliver robust wireless communication systems and antenna designs that meet demanding performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.\nWhat your day could look like:\nLead the design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of high performance antennas and RF systems for Halter’s wearable and infrastructure products.\n\nDefine system level RF requirements and architecture in collaboration with firmware, systems, and mechanical teams.\n\nDrive electromagnetic simulation, impedance matching, antenna tuning, and over the air performance optimisation.\n\nConduct field testing and data analysis to validate designs under real world conditions.\n\nCollaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure robust design-for-manufacture and testing of RF assemblies, including travel.\n\nOwn and maintain RF performance metrics, antenna validation processes, and compliance testing (EMC, regulatory).\n\nMentor and develop other engineers in RF design principles and best practices.\n\nPartner with global suppliers and test labs to deliver high-volume production ready antenna solutions.\n\nWho we're looking for:\nAn experienced RF or Antenna Engineer with proven expertise taking antenna systems from concept through to high volume production.\n\nDeep understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals, RF propagation, impedance matching, and PCB/integrated antenna design.\n\nHands on experience with RF simulation and analysis tools\n\nProficiency with test and measurement equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers and signal generators.\n\nExperience designing RF systems for IoT, wearable, or low power wireless products (BLE, LoRa, GPS, Wi-Fi, sub-GHz, LTE).\n\nStrong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.\n\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where you take ownership and drive results.\n\nWillingness to travel internationally (e.g., China, Thailand) to support manufacturing and validation.\n\nJoin our team\nHalter is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace - a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives.
