This is a key role within our organization, ensuring that incoming materials and components meet quality requirements while supporting continuous improvement across our operations.\nThe successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining product quality, driving process improvements, and supporting production through strong quality leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nIncoming Quality Control\nTake overall responsibility for Incoming Quality Control (IQC) activities.\nEnsure all incoming materials, components, and products comply with established quality requirements and specifications.\nInvestigate and manage supplier-related quality issues and non-conformances.\nWork closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.\nProcess Development and Improvement\nLead the implementation of new procedures and standards for incoming inspection processes.\nContinuously improve inspection methods, quality controls, and efficiency.\nDevelop and maintain inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and quality documentation.\nSupport supplier qualification and supplier quality improvement initiatives.\nQuality Documentation\nOwn and maintain controlled documents related to Quality Control activities.\nEnsure procedures, work instructions, forms, and records are current, accurate, and compliant with applicable standards and internal requirements.\nSupport internal and external audits as required.\nTeam Leadership\nDirectly manage and develop one QC Technician.\nConduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support employee development.\nFoster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nOperational Support\nParticipate in daily production meetings and provide quality-related input.\nCollaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and minimize disruptions.\nSupport root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.\nMonitor quality performance and drive actions to improve product and process quality.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality.\nPrevious leadership experience is preferred.\nExperience with incoming inspection processes and supplier quality management.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.\n Strong knowledge of incoming inspection methodologies, AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) sampling plans, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software systems.\nFluent in English, both written and spoken.\nPersonal Competencies\nWe are looking for a candidate who is:\nStructured and detail-oriented.\nProactive and solution-focused.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nA strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills.\nResults driven with a continuous improvement mindset.\nCapable of balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational responsibilities.\nWhat We Offer\nAn exciting opportunity to shape and improve our quality processes.\nA collaborative and professional working environment.\nOpportunities for personal and professional development.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nThe chance to make a significant impact on product quality and operational excellence.\nKeep your personal data safe\nHamamatsu (\"The Company\") take responsibly for the protection of your personal data.
