You will be responsible for presenting new dishes with precision and quality that meet our Eli’s company standards. Tasked with mastering the stations, you will also be accountable for cleanliness and, food and equipment safety knowledge.\nEssential Functions\nExecuting menu items from start to finish. This including but not limited to preparation of ingredients, butchery of proteins, cooking and plating of menu items.\nHoning your existing skills while learning new techniques and building your skill set\nWorking collaboratively with BOH staff and FOH staff\nMaintaining cleanliness of any BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas\nParticipate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas\nAvailable to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends\nSafely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives\nAbility to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction\nRequirements\nFollow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels\nMaintain food safety and quality standards\nAbility to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently\nCommunicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator\nMaintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity\nAccurately account for all items coming out of the station\nUnderstand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions\nComply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures\nFollow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook\nGet along well with others and be a team player\nOther duties will be assigned as needed\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
