Visit vantagegroup.com to learn more.\nThe Role\nThe Financial Analyst, FPA will support the Corporate FP&A team through financial planning, reporting, financial modeling and analysis for both the Corporate function and Vantage’s operating assets. The Financial Analyst will support financial and strategic analysis to report on key financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, help to ensure accurate and timely production of reports and forecasts, support capital market initiatives and assist in monitoring overall performance.\n­\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities\nConducts analysis in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, cash flow projections, and reports on key performance indicators.\nReviews operational performance, analyzes financial information, and prepares presentations and reports based on pertinent data.\nProvides analysis of financial implications of business activities and brings forward recommendations to enhance financial performance.\nProactively takes a lead with systems to drive optimization and improvements in reporting and analysis, with a focus on standardization and automation.\nAnalyze and update existing financial models, build financial models from scratch to help understand business results, support forecasting and budgeting, and support capital market initiatives.\nConducts market research, competitive analysis, benchmarking, and assists in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting to drive informed decision-making.\nOther duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.\n­\nAbout You\nYou hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or other related field. \nMaster of Business Administration and / or professional designation (CPA or CFA) considered an asset.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions or similar field.\nDetail-oriented self-starter who takes pride in delivering high-quality, timely results with strong communication skills, both written and oral.\nInquisitive nature to dig deeper to tell the story behind the numbers.\nA proven track record of synthesizing qualitative and quantitative analyses into clear, concise and insightful reports and presentation materials to support strategic decision-making.\nDemonstrated analytical skills which combines:financial modelling\nthe ability to work with large/complex data sets\ncorporate finance coupled; and\nsound business acumen\n\nExcellent organization skills and well-rounded interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work in situations with changing priorities and simultaneous assignments. Ability to lead through influence and have proven project management expertise.\nFamiliar with various financial platforms and reporting tools.\nAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressure.\nCritical thinker.\nAbility to work both independently and in a team setting.\nDemonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting tools (superior Excel skills among other reporting dashboards)\nPrimary Work Location: This is a hybrid position; employees will need to be located in, or near, Vancouver or New York City.
