The Role\nThe Intermediate Accountant plays an important role in supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions for the Corporate Office, subsidiaries, and select assets across the Vantage network. This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. The position will work closely with Finance, FP&A, Financial Reporting, business leaders, banking partners, auditors, and other external stakeholders.\n­\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities\nPrepare and record journal entries for the Corporate Office, subsidiaries, and assigned assets.\nReview accounts payable invoices and prepare accounts receivable invoices as required.\nPrepare monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, working papers, and supporting schedules.\nPrepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner\nSupport month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and reconciliations.\nInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual fluctuations, and variances.\nSupport accounting treatments in accordance with US GAAP, including ASC 606 as applicable.\nAssist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities.\nProvide financial information and analysis to FP&A for management reporting as required.\nLiaise with business leaders to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial support.\nLiaise with banks, auditors, and other external parties as required.\nAssist with audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.\nMonitor and prepare regulatory and compliance documentation for assigned sites.\nPerform month-end close and reconciliations across multiple airport/transportation sites within the Vantage network, maintaining consistency across entities with differing local requirements.\nAssist with finance system implementations, conversions, and other accounting projects.\nContribute to process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting and reporting.\nMaintain accurate, organized, and complete accounting records and working papers.\nOther duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.\n­\nAbout You\nYou hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or other related discipline\nCPA designation, or in process of obtaining designation\n3-5 years of accounting experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar industry\nExperience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements\nExperience in multi-entity, multi-site environments with varying local requirements. \nExperience in coordinating accounting system implementation projects \nExperience with MS Dynamics Navision/ D365 is an asset\nAdvanced Excel skills, plus proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs \nIndependent, strong ability to ask questions, and learn on the job\nAbility to work under tight deadlines, prioritizing and multitasking\nWhat we offer\nIn addition to competitive compensation, career progression, and access to a global team of talented professionals, we are growing and offer boundless opportunities to make your mark within our organization. The expected annual compensation for this position includes a base salary of CAD $65,000 to $89,000 plus eligibility to participate in the Company's annual incentive program.
