As we continue to grow, we’re looking for Test Engineers to help ensure the quality, reliability, and security of our platforms and applications.\nRequirements\nAs a Test Engineer at Hamiltonian Dynamics, you will play a key role in ensuring our software meets high standards of quality and reliability. You’ll work closely with software and platform engineers throughout the development lifecycle, shaping testing approaches and embedding quality into delivery.\nWe welcome candidates with varied backgrounds and levels of experience - strong testing fundamentals, curiosity, and a pragmatic mindset matter more than familiarity with every tool.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and execute manual and automated tests across complex systems\nBuild and maintain test frameworks and automation suites\nCarry out exploratory testing to identify risk and edge cases\nWork closely with engineers to improve testability and quality\nContribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and tooling\nSkills & Experience\nExperience in one or more of the following, with a willingness to learn:\n Programming or scripting in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript \n Testing web applications built with Angular, React, or Vue \n Automated testing tools such as Robot Framework, Cypress, or Cucumber \n Experience creating or extending test frameworks \n Exploratory and risk-based testing techniques \n Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) \n Exposure to modern stacks such as MERN, Elasticsearch, or Neo4J\nSecurity & Location Requirements\nUK citizen with at least 10 years UK residency \nMust already hold high-level UK security clearance \nWilling to travel to customer sites in Cheltenham\nBenefits\nSalary band: £40,000-75,000, depending on experience (we may consider more junior or more senior outside this range for the right candidate)\n10% clearance bonus\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\nBuy or sell up to 5 days leave per year\n8% employer pension contribution\nBUPA health cover\nLife cover of 4× salary\nEV car scheme via salary sacrifice\nEMI share scheme\nFlexible working and flexi-time\n10 days per year training allowance\nEvery employee has an individual training and career development plan.
