This role involves translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and innovative technology architectures. As a key member of the technology team, this person will work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, to deliver exceptional customer experiences in the digital banking space.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\n1. Solution Design:\nDefine and document end-to-end architecture for digital banking platforms, including mobile banking apps, online banking portals, and backend services.\nEnsure solutions align with business goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices.\n2. Stakeholder Collaboration:\nPartner with business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nAct as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on architectural decisions and technology strategy.\n3. Technology Leadership:\nEvaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to improve the scalability, performance, and security of digital banking solutions.\nLead the selection of tools, platforms, and frameworks.\n4. Integration Strategy:\nDesign integration strategies for core banking systems, payment gateways, identity management solutions, and third-party APIs.\nEnsure seamless integration across channels to enhance customer experience.\n5. Governance and Standards:\nDefine architectural principles, design patterns, and coding standards.\nMonitor compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).\n6. Secondary Duties:\nMay be asked to work some weekends and/or holidays.\nMay be asked to participate in other activities within the organization not related to department.\nBuilds and maintains relationships with technology vendors.\nPerforms project management and participates in strategic planning.\nProvides guidance and acts as subject matter expert to lesser experienced technology roles.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPlans, schedules, assigns, monitors and directs activities of team members on technical and operations projects as needed.\nMINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:\nCollege degree in Computer Sciences or a related field and at least five years of developed expertise in application analysis, systems development, systems design or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n5 years of experience with major technology platforms and variety of technologies (for example IBM mainframe/Unix/Windows, DBMS, programming environments, etc.) including strong experience in software development and design techniques\nExperience with operational/ technology strategic and architecture development, preferably within a financial services organization\nWorking knowledge of project management and development approaches\nStrong working knowledge of the banking industry\nStrong technical skills with key support applications, (i.e., Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio) \nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMust be able to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with all levels of internal and external customers.\nSuperior presentation skills. \nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume\nAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations \nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Outlook.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of banking industry processes and the types of systems used to support those processes across the Enterprise.\nESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to work under stress and meet deadlines\nAbility to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions\nAbility to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions\nAbility to travel if required to perform the essential job functions\nAbility to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
