Product Manager

We're a compliance technology platform built by a leading global immigration law firm, helping employers manage work authorization compliance, I-9, E-Verify, and Right-to-Work, across the U.S., U.K., and Australia. Our platform supports employers across staffing, healthcare, retail, tech, manufacturing, and more, turning fragmented, high-risk paperwork into a defensible, audit-ready system.
We've partnered with Handoff to bring on board a Senior Product Manager who will take ownership of the product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap development through delivery, adoption, and ongoing improvement. You'll work closely with leadership, clients, technology, and operational teams to identify meaningful opportunities, translate business needs into clear product requirements, and ensure the solutions we build create measurable value.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership:
Own each product's value proposition, strategic positioning, and business case
Manage products from design and launch through ongoing operation, maintenance, enhancement, and eventual decommissioning when relevant
Business & Client Insight:
Develop deep knowledge of our products, operating environment, and client needs
Distinguish a requested feature from the underlying business problem it's meant to solve
Roadmap & Prioritization:
Maintain a forward-looking product roadmap
Prioritize changes based on strategic value, client impact, feasibility, risk, and effort
Requirements & Project Delivery:
Translate business direction into clear product requirements, and maintain alignment to original objectives throughout delivery
Validate that completed solutions actually address the intended need
Initiate and support projects affecting the product - defining objectives, scope, stakeholders, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes - serving as product owner and key decision-maker
Drive projects forward by collaborating with other team resources, without directly managing the project itself
Communication & Cross-Functional Leadership:
Communicate effectively with senior leadership at a strategic level, while working at the level of detail required to guide product, project, technology, and operational teams
Collaborate with, and potentially guide, a more junior colleague in a similar function - coordinating responsibilities and ensuring a consistent approach to managing the product lifecycle
Outcome Accountability:
Establish meaningful measures of product adoption, client value, operational performance, and business impact
Remain accountable for results after changes are implemented
ABOUT YOU
2-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in B2B SaaS, compliance, legal-tech, or a related technology environment.
Experience owning products across strategy, development, launch, ongoing enhancement, and lifecycle management.
Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task under deadline pressure
Experience with contract administration and vendor coordination
Strong project ownership skills, including defining objectives, scope, stakeholders, dependencies, risks, and expected outcomes.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with senior leadership, technology, product, project, and operational teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels.
Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable driving initiatives forward without directly managing the teams responsible for execution.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience working with B2B SaaS products.
Experience in compliance, legal technology, immigration, HR technology, or another highly regulated industry.
Experience working with distributed or cross-time-zone teams.
Experience guiding or mentoring a more junior product colleague.
Familiarity with products that involve complex workflows, documentation, or regulatory requirements.
