Timely and accurate movement of materials and products through the production area and staging areas. Maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to PPE, HACCP and GMP’s requirements.\nResponsibilities\nObservation of all safety requirements, including PPE\nFollows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), which includes maintaining a clean and orderly work area.\nMaintaining forklifts, hand-trucks, pallet-jacks daily by inspecting batteries, water levels, lights, horns, tires, mirrors, oil levels, backup beep indicators, and ensuring all parts are in good working condition.\nVerify deliveries/discrepancies by inspecting materials by physically counting and comparing the amount printed on the delivery report.\nEnter delivery receipts or material handling movements in ERP system.\nOrganize and rotate old material with new.\nEnsure FIFO is being maintained with product staging. Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack.\nCheck production schedules daily to stage packaging and materials properly.\nAssist warehouse manager/lead with inventory balances through physical cycle counts.\nLocates proper storage racks, sets pallets in place with forklift or pallet-jack or hand stack items on pallet, enter production data and location into database.\nPerforms count checks of incoming freight in the staging areas.\nRemoves empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles. Inspects empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.\nFollow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.\nEnsure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.\nMeets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.\nWorks from receiving sheets, computer print-out, established procedures and practices, written and/or verbal instructions.\nInspects items for damage, performs temperature and quality checks and takes appropriate action as needed.\nLabel any open or partial ingredients or packing materials properly.\nMust be able to operate a forklift and to be certified annually for forklift license.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nAdherence to governing bodies requirements, FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP.\nBilingual is a plus.\nQualifications\nEnglish language fluency required\nPreferred 3 years as a forklift/material handler in a warehouse environment\nAbility to be forklift certified and maintain certification annually.\nAbility to lift up to 50lbs continuously throughout the shift.\nAbility to follow all safety and PPE requirements.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\nExcellent verbal/written communication skills\nWorking Conditions\nFood processing, warehouse and food laboratory environment.\nThe environment may be wet or dry.\nTemperatures may range from 38°F to 80°F.\nExposure to hazardous materials.\nAbility to climb ladders, bend, reach and occasionally lift of up to 40 lbs. may be required.\nProduction demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED
