Your role

Are you looking for an internship with exciting challenges, in which your entrepreneurial mindset, analytical skills and commitment will be challenged and developed? You want to expand your practical experience and gain insights into the work of an investment holding - whether in M&A transactions or the continuous development of existing portfolio companies? Your Tasks

The portfolio management team is responsible for and manages all direct investment activities and the portfolio companies throughout their lifecycle from acquisition to exit. You will expand your practical experience in the following tasks:

• Support of the team in M&A processes, from sourcing to closing

• Continuous screening of investment opportunities based on discussions with advisors, bankers and companies

• Market and competitive analysis in selected focus areas

• In-depth analysis (financial, strategic) of potential targets and company valuation (business plans, LBO, DCF, Multiples)

• Assessment of operational and financial performance and identification of future value creation levers (strategic, operational, financial) for existing portfolio companies and potential targets

• Support in portfolio management and preparation of internal committees, including preparation of presentations and analyses

Your Profile

• Strong interest and acumen for understanding business models, competitive dynamics, and market structures

• Advanced studies in business or a related field (e.g. finance, business administration, economics, or industrial engineering) from a reputable university or business school

• Relevant experience through internships in the areas of M&A/Investment Banking, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Strategy Consulting, or Transaction Advisory

• Very good analytical and conceptual skills; initial knowledge and experience in dealing with common valuation methods (DCF, LBO, multiples)
• Sound MS-Office skills, esp. Excel and PowerPoint

• Very good knowledge of English; good knowledge of German
