Hanover Park for investments.\nAbout the role\nYou'll be a fund accountant who operates with the leverage of a team ten times your size - because AI is handling the grunt work. At Hanover Park, you won't spend your career buried in spreadsheets doing work that a model can do better and faster. You'll work on engagement teams, serve as the primary point of contact for sophisticated clients, and help shape how fund accounting gets done for the next decade.\nClient capacity at Hanover Park is directly gated by this team. This hire matters.\nWhat you'll work on\nBe a member of the engagement team for 5-10 clients and serve as the primary point of contact for those clients\n\nManage core fund accounting workflows: Maintaining books and records, capital calls and distributions, allocations and waterfalls, and capital account statements\n\nDeliver financial reporting that meet client SLAs\n\nCommunicate directly with fund CFOs, COOs, and GPs - responsiveness and clarity are non-negotiable\n\nIntegrate into AI-assisted workflows and actively use automation to reduce time on manual tasks\n\nSurface process improvement opportunities to the engineering team\n\nInterface regularly with Chris and leadership, especially in early-stage client relationships\n\nWhat we're looking for\nMust-haves\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field\n\nFund accounting experience in alternative investments\n\nFluency in core concepts: Fund structures, LPA terms, accounting and industry standards\n\nTechnical skills including, but not limited to AI/Claude\n\nStrong client-facing communication skills - you're talking directly to CFOs and COOs\n\nNice-to-haves\nVenture capital, private equity, private credit expertise\n\nCPA or CPA candidate\n\nBig 4 public accounting background\n\nGenuine curiosity about AI and how it can transform fund administration workflows\n\nThis is not the role for you if:\nYou're purely execution-oriented with no interest in how AI can improve your work\n\nYou see services as lower-status than software - we disagree, and so should you\n\nResponsiveness and clear communication aren't strengths\n\nWhy join now\nYou'll have direct exposure to some of the most innovative investment firms in the country, and you'll help define how modern fund accounting actually works.
