We are proud to serve as the parent company of:\n Hanwha Renewables - specializing in utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS)\nChariot Energy - providing retail electricity services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers in deregulated markets\n\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nHanwha Energy USA is seeking a Business Development & Planning Associate to help advance its data center business and related energy infrastructure initiatives. Working closely with the team head, this role will coordinate day-to-day project activities, track deliverables, and support business planning, budgeting, and management reporting.\nThe successful candidate will work across Hanwha affiliates and development, commercial, engineering, finance, and legal teams to keep work moving, identify issues early, and prepare clear information for decisions. This position offers opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as the business grows.\nThe employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nCoordinate project execution: Translate agreed priorities into action plans with clear owners, deliverables, and deadlines. Organize project meetings, document decisions, and follow up on outstanding actions.\nMaintain project visibility: Keep schedules, milestone trackers, and issue logs current. Identify dependencies, investigate delays, and escalate matters requiring management decisions with a clear explanation of their impact.\nFacilitate cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate inputs and follow-up across Hanwha affiliates, internal teams, and external partners to advance shared initiatives.\nSupport business planning and budgeting: Consolidate team inputs into annual business plans and budgets. Track progress and spending against approved plans, working with responsible teams to explain variances.\nPrepare management reporting: Draft concise presentations and project updates covering progress, budgets, risks, next steps, and decisions required. Check supporting information for accuracy and consistency.\nCoordinate internal approvals: Maintain approval schedules and submission checklists, assemble supporting materials, and track outstanding inputs for development reviews and investment approvals.\nSupport transaction readiness: Coordinate document requests, data-room updates, and due diligence schedules with development, finance, and legal teams.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n2-4 years of relevant experience in project coordination, business planning, consulting, or a related role.\nExperience coordinating assignments involving multiple teams and following deliverables through to completion.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.\nAbility to turn complex information into clear written summaries, presentations, and actionable next steps.\nProficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize data and perform basic financial analysis.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in energy, data centers, infrastructure, or another project-based business.\nFamiliarity with project budgets, development milestones, and financial concepts such as capital expenditure, operating costs, and cash flow.\nExperience working across business units or supporting management reporting and internal approval processes.\nCOMPENSATION: $130,000 - $145,000 salary\nAttention external recruitment firms, we will not accept any unsolicited resumes at this time.
