The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nEnsure all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met\nPerform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary \nImplement preventative maintenance measures\nRespond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol\nDiagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables\nReplaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices\nDiagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards\nReplaces bearings, seals, etc. on all rotating machinery\nRepairs and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings\nPerforms scheduled preventative maintenance on most shipyard equipment\nDiagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment\nPerforms all maintenance and repairs to all dock, overhead, semi-gantry and smaller cranes\nAbility to read and understand blueprints and technical manuals\nAbility to use electrical and mechanical test equipment (Multimeters, meggars, voltage testers, micrometers, gages, etc.)\nAbility to use various tools and understand basic skills in the following areas; rigging, welding, pipefitting, machining, electrical and electronic troubleshooting, sensor testing \nSubject to second shift rotation\nPerform other related duties as required and assigned\n\nCOMPETENCIES\nSelf-management\nThoroughness\nFlexibility\nIntegrity\nWillingness and ability to work as a team member\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nMinimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent \nKnowledge of outdoor cranes, overhead bridge cranes preferred\nKnowledge of DC and AC on manufacturing machinery\nExperience in hydraulic systems and repair\nExperience in CNC and robotic machinery troubleshooting and repair\nMechanical skills are a plus\nSkills at reading European electrical diagrams\nArc flash trained\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nEnvironmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke.
