across sales and illustration platforms.\nThe engineer will work closely with actuarial, engineering, and product teams in India and the US to deliver high-quality, compliant insurance solutions.\n\nDeliverables and Performance Measures\nDesign, develop, and maintain actuarial calculation modules using C# and .NET.\nTranslate actuarial specifications, rate tables, and Excel-based models into robust, testable software components.\nBuild and enhance APIs and calculation services used by illustration and quoting platforms.\nEnsure actuarial calculations are accurate, performant, auditable, and maintainable.\nApply object-oriented design principles and industry best practices.\nWrite unit tests and support automated testing to ensure calculation integrity.\nDebug, troubleshoot, and resolve calculation and system issues efficiently.\nCollaborate closely with actuarial, product, QA, and engineering teams.\nProduce and maintain clear technical and actuarial documentation.\nProvide accurate estimates and take ownership of assigned deliverables.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.\n\nWhat Will Make You Successful\n3+ years of professional software development experience.\nStrong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.\nExperience with ASP.NET / .NET Core, Web APIs, and service-oriented architecture.\nSolid understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns.\nExperience with SQL databases (SQL Server preferred), including: Query optimization\nData modelling\nPerformance considerations\n\nAbility to interpret and validate Excel Spreadsheet/Formulas\nStrong spreadsheet(Excel) analysis , who understands complex formulas well and can work directly with Customer.\nHands-on experience with Excel for understanding and validating calculation logic.\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development.\nExperience using Git / Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools.\nStrong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nAbility to bridge actuarial logic and software engineering.\nHigh ownership and accountability for assigned work.\nComfort working in distributed IndiaUS teams.\nStrong attention to detail, especially around financial accuracy.\nWillingness to continuously learn insurance domain knowledge and modern engineering practices.\n\nPreferred / Nice to Have\nAbility to interpret and validate financial and actuarial calculations.\nExperience building or supporting insurance illustration or actuarial systems.\nExposure to annuity, life insurance, or retirement products.\nExperience with Entity Framework or similar ORMs.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines.\nFamiliarity with performance optimization techniques (caching, async processing).\nBasic understanding of application security and data protection best
