You’ll focus on designing and maintaining reliable APIs, data-access layers, and service integrations that improve system reliability, performance, and the developer experience across the company.\nYour day to day\nTake ownership of the successful implementation and delivery of new features and projects using a variety of languages and frameworks such as Golang, Python, and PostgreSQL\nBuild and maintain data pipelines and tooling powering analytics, operational workflows, and product capabilities\nActively participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the Happy Returns system\nEnforce clean code standards and excellent coding practices by conducting thoughtful code reviews and upholding a commitment to testing and maintainability\nLearn from senior engineers, contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuously expand your technical and problem-solving skills as you grow into more complex projects\nPartner with Product, Data, and other engineering teams to translate their needs into technical solutions\nUse AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation workflows\nSupport the health and stability of our systems through thoughtful testing monitoring, and debugging\nWhat you need to bring\n1-3 years of experience building backend APIs or services\nFamiliarity with databases and data storage technologies\nThe ability to efficiently ship clean, maintainable, and well-tested code\nA strong interest in joining a highly collaborative environment and working daily with stakeholders across the organization\nCuriosity, adaptability and a readiness to explore new technologies, and introduce tools that make the team more effective.\nA self-starter mindset with the ability to learn independently and thrive in a fully remote work environment\nBonus points if you have\nExpertise in multiple server-side languages such as Go or Python\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS\nExperience with data processing frameworks, ETL/ELT pipelines, or streaming systems.\nExposure to performance optimization, distributed systems fundamentals, or event-driven architectures\nInterest in e-commerce, logistics, developer experience, or building tooling for other engineers\nThis is a fully remote position and is not limited to candidates located in Georgia\nCompensation\nCompensation for this position will be determined based on a variety of factors, including internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
