Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation.\nPosition Summary\nThe Production Manager is responsible for leading 2nd shift manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role drives operational excellence through continuous improvement, KPI management, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration. The Production Manager will also lead the successful launch and ramp-up of new assembly lines while building a high-performing production team.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nLead 2nd shift production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective execution of the daily production plan while meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) targets.\nLead the successful launch and ramp-up of new assembly lines, including staffing, training, equipment readiness, process validation, and achievement of production, quality, and efficiency targets.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving productivity, optimizing labor utilization, and lowering Hours Per Unit (HPU) through Lean manufacturing principles.\nMonitor production performance and KPIs, using data to identify gaps, prioritize opportunities, and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.\nLead structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for production, quality, equipment, and process issues while driving rapid resolution and preventing recurrence.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Development to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure effective shift execution.\nCollaborate with Engineering and Product Development on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives to improve product quality, manufacturability, and production efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, work instructions, and company procedures while maintaining a Safety First, Quality at the Source, Stop-and-Fix culture.\nDevelop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production team members to build a high-performing culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.\nLead daily 2nd shift production meetings, communicate priorities and performance, and ensure effective shift handoffs and alignment across all shifts.\nWho You Are:\n8+ years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or EV operations; at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.\nStrong understanding of vehicle repair, rework, or assembly processes.\nDemonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.\nSkilled in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and process improvement.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.\nProficiency with ERP/MES systems, and production tracking tools.\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience accepted.\nKey Benefits & Perks:\nComprehensive Health, Dental & Vision (HDV) - 100% employee covered\nEarly-stage Stock Options\nRobust Retirement Savings (401k, HSA, FSA)\nGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) & Parental Leave\nAnnual Vacation Bonus\nWellness & Fertility Benefits\nCell Phone Stipend\nComplimentary Meals & Stocked Kitchens\nCalifornia Pay Range\n$140,000—$160,000 USD\nEqual Opportunity\nHarbinger is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
