As a Sr QA Automation Engineer, you will work as part of our QA team to develop and execute an automated test strategy that provides a high level of quality confidence throughout all aspects of our SDLC. The role requires an individual who’s dedicated to the customer’s experience, able to clearly voice and document issues and concerns within their testing focus. You will be responsible for the quality, scope and timeliness of all your deliverables. We will be reliant on your skills and your passion and ownership over all aspects of your work.\nAs a Senior QA Automation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:\nApply testing pyramid principles and white-box techniques to determine the right testing approach when analyzing a feature for automation coverage, yielding an efficient and scalable testing solution\n\nDesign, implement, execute and maintain UI automated tests for our web application (Playwright/Python) and mobile application (Appium/Python) based on project requirements and specifications\n\nDesign, implement, execute and maintain API automated tests in Python for the Hard Rock Digital technology stack\n\nUse AI tools to speed up your understanding of our platform and to accelerate development and maintenance of our automated tests\n\nIdentify, own and drive architectural changes and refactoring efforts for the betterment of the QA team\n\nWork closely with the QA team to identify and prioritize areas for automation and create a roadmap for automation projects\n\nProvide code review guidance to team members, ensuring quality, stability and efficiency in our automated test solutions\n\nMentor and provide guidance to members of the QA team\n\nEnsure compatibility and consistency of HRD applications across different browsers, devices and platforms\n\nMaintain comprehensive documentation for automated test scripts, frameworks and processes\n\nConduct thorough regression testing and ensure the quality of software releases through automated testing and manual validation when necessary\n\nPerform root cause analysis for identified defects and work collaboratively with the development team to resolve issues\n\nCollaborate with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects\n\nStay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies and testing tools to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process\n\nLearn our applications inside and out, and become a subject matter expert\n\nRequirements\nWhat are we looking for?\nWe are looking for someone who is extremely well organized and willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and solutions. We believe the perfect candidate isn’t interested in just what we’re building right now, but wants to understand where we’re going and how it impacts the customer to ensure everything we create moves us closer to our goal: delivering the best customer experience.\nKey skills required for this position:\n5+ years of experience in automation testing (API, Playwright and Appium frameworks)\n\nThorough understanding of the testing pyramid with a keen sense for which tests belong where in the testing pyramid\n\nProficiency in Python is essential\n\nCritical, questioning approach to AI-generated output, with a commitment to sound design principles and coding standards\n\nExperience developing AI skills\n\nAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment\n\nUnderstanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and knowledge of browser developer tools\n\nFamiliarity with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and understanding of mobile app development\n\nExperience with version control systems such as Git for code repository management\n\nExperience with building CI/CD (GitHub Actions) pipelines and integration of automated tests into the development workflow\n\nIn-depth knowledge of quality assurance principles, best practices and testing standards\n\nStrong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends and possible areas of improvement\n\nMeticulous attention to detail in creating, executing and maintaining test scripts\n\nCommitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies\n\nWhat sets you apart:\nExperience building agentic automation\n\nExperience working in sports betting or other highly regulated industries\n\nPassionate about sports\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\nWe offer our employees more than just competitive compensation.
