In this role, you will support a variety of industrial, site development, and infrastructure projects by developing civil design deliverables, site layouts, grading plans, utility systems, and stormwater management solutions.\nWorking under the direction of Civil Engineers and Lead Designers, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering designs from concept through construction. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, career growth opportunities, and potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates.\nEducation\nAssociate degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or a related field required.\nExperience\n8 to 10 years of relevant civil design experience preferred.\nIndustrial civil/site or utility design experience strongly preferred.\nExperience in commercial, government, or infrastructure projects may also be considered.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop civil engineering construction and permitting drawings for projects ranging from small modifications to large capital developments.\nDesign site grading, stormwater management systems, drainage improvements, and utility infrastructure.\nCreate and maintain surface models, pipe networks, pressure pipe networks, and earthwork calculations.\nDevelop conceptual site layouts and assist with project planning and cost studies.\nCoordinate project coordinate systems and collaborate with engineering and design teams.\nPerform field investigations, collect site data, verify existing conditions, and provide construction support as needed.\nConduct land development and zoning research for civil site projects.\nReview and check design drawings, calculations, and related project documentation.\nApply company drafting standards and best practices to all project work.\nEffectively communicate technical concepts and design solutions with project teams and clients.\nQualifications\nProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong understanding of grading plans, drainage systems, utility layouts, and earthwork calculations.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nExperience supporting virtual teams and collaborating across multiple offices.\nKnowledge of MicroStation is a plus.\nExperience with Revit and/or BIM is a plus.\nValid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.\nAbility to pass a background check and drug screening.\n\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
