This work will be performed under general supervision at our office in Decatur, AL. Relocation support may be available for those who qualify.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nProduce low complex, complete design calculations and assignments\nProvide design assistance on larger and more complex assignments\nDevelop conceptual layouts and cost studies\nAssist with drafting of plans and details for the completion of engineering drawings\nPerform fieldwork to gather data, check tie-ins, and provide construction support\nDevelop written construction specifications that define the scope of work, provide specific instruction, and prescribe quality standards\nPerform land development and zoning code research for civil-site development projects\nWork with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projects\nReview and check submittal drawings and documentation\nIdeal Background\nEducation: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.\nRegistration: Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is strongly preferred and may be required.\nExperience: This position requires up to 1 to 3-years of relevant experience in civil-site engineering in the industrial setting. Previous experience in commercial, government, or infrastructure setting may be considered for this position.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments\nKnowledge and application of associated standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, AREMA, NRCS, NFPA, etc.)\nWorking knowledge of civil stormwater analysis software including operating and interpreting results\nAbility to actively listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates and Clients \nAbility to work with a team to complete small and large projects\nAble to assist with the development of presentations of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors services\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD.
