This work will be performed under general supervision.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nA leader in safety on assigned projects including setting safety and environmental performance expectations of contractors and holding them accountable through standard daily walkthroughs.\nIn cooperation with the site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) organization, accountable for securing safe work permits for contractors, ensuring all applicable daily permits are in place before the start of work, and monitoring compliance with required permits throughout the day.\nMaintains an active presence in the field during construction activity and site turnarounds\nPromotes a strong culture of safety by partnering with the site EHS team to monitor, audit, and coach field contractors on safe work best practices.\nMonitors construction productivity and schedule performance of their assigned projects while providing feedback on risks identified to the site Construction Manager\nAble to communicate construction status effectively with site Project Managers and Project Stakeholders\nAbility to communicate daily construction updates to the Projects Scheduler so a schedule of values can be maintained for their assigned projects\nAble to manage and prioritize the works of multiple field contractors simultaneously to ensure project deliverables are met\nAbility to occasionally work an adjusted shift (nights and/or weekends) to support site construction activity\nResponsible to ‘stop work’ when stop work triggers are met and Immediate escalation of any field contractor safety concerns to site EHS department and the assigned Project Manager\nWeekly construction contractor progress reports delivered to the assigned Project Manager and site scheduler\nDaily reviews conducted to ensure what is installed in the field matches the design intent\nDaily reviews of project schedule with contractor. Daily feedback should be supplied to the contractor identifying areas of opportunity for schedule improvement.\nDaily identification of field safety hazards that could affect contractor work going on that day. These hazards should be documented and reviewed with the contractor daily before start of work.\nThis position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including paid time off, health insurance benefits, and matching retirement contributions.\nIdeal Background\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
