This role is responsible for performing advanced design work serving as a technical specialist for a complex design assignments. The ideal candidate is an experienced industrial E&I professional who combines hands-on technical expertise with strong project controls and client communication skills. This work will be performed under minimal supervision in our Beaumont office.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nLeadership & Project Controls\nPlan, organize, and communicate work execution strategies to project teams, leadership, and clients.\n\nDelegate work based on skill and experience, providing ongoing guidance to ensure quality and efficiency.\n\nTrack and manage discipline budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and deliverables using established project controls.\n\nDevelop and validate professional services and construction estimates; monitor changes throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nIdentify scope changes and initiate change notices impacting schedule, cost, or deliverables.\n\nTechnical Design & Engineering\nEstablish electrical and instrumentation design criteria in accordance with client requirements, project scope, and applicable codes and standards.\n\nProduce estimate-level designs, material take-offs, conceptual layouts, and cost studies.\n\nPrepare and review detailed design calculations, sketches, and specifications.\n\nDesign systems with a focus on constructability, cost efficiency, and long-term reliability.\n\nDevelop and review medium-voltage (up to 15kV) power systems, including single-line diagrams and protection requirements.\n\nEnsure permitting requirements are identified and communicated to the project team.\n\nQuality, Deliverables & Coordination\nReview, check, and approve all electrical and instrumentation deliverables.\n\nVerify calculations for accuracy, NEC compliance, and engineering best practices.\n\nCoordinate closely with other engineering disciplines to resolve design and constructability issues.\n\nReview vendor drawings and integrateelectrical/instrumentationrequirements.\n\nPrepare bid packages and technical documentation for procurement.\n\nPeople Development & Worksharing\nMentor teammates.\n\nIdentify and manage interoffice worksharing opportunities to optimize resources and execution.\n\nPromote strong communication and collaboration.\n\nSupport proposal development and business development efforts.\n\nIdeal Background\nEducation: High school diploma.\nExperience: Requires 15 or more years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation.\nFamiliarity with the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC).\n\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nVirtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are highly developed and able to provide interoffice execution support with no supervision.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\n\n77705\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
