This work will be performed under direct supervision in our Beaumont office.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nFamiliarity with and utilization of department engineering design and drafting standards.\n\nAssisting in developing conceptual layouts and studies as necessary to determine the simplest, most efficient approach to solving engineering tasks.\n\nAssisting in producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs.\n\nAssisting in producing detail design calculations, spreadsheets, reports, drawings, and sketches for various projects.\n\nAssisting engineers and designers in resolving routine layout and detailing problems.\n\nIdeal Background\nEducation: Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science degree program for Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nFamiliarity with design standards and codes.\n\nWorking knowledge of CAD software\n\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\n\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\n\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
