This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex mechanical/piping assignments. This work will be performed under close supervision.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nFamiliarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.\n\nFamiliarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.\n\nAccomplishing the drafting and design activities in developing piping drawings from sketches and engineering information.\n\nAssisting in accomplishing field design work to ascertain current conditions, locate new systems, communicate with client personnel and assist in construction.\n\nPreparing material take-offs from piping drawings.\n\nRecognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.\n\nOn-site assistance during startup.\n\nIdeal Background\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is preferred.\nCertification: Certification is not required at this level.\nExperience: This position requires 2+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge and application of piping materials in respect to drafting.\n\nDrafting of utility and process piping drawings, P&ID’s and GA’s.\n\nKnowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.\n\nWorking knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.\n\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\n\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nVirtual team skills and cross divisional relationships continue to develop, and providing interoffice execution support under close supervision.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\n\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
