This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical and instrumentation assignments. This work will be performed under close supervision.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nFamiliarity with and utilization of department design and drafting standards.\n\nFamiliarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project team.\n\nDrafting installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementary diagrams, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, power and instrumentation plans.\n\nRecognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.\n\nProviding on-site assistance during startup.\n\nThis position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including paid time off, health insurance benefits, and matching retirement contributions.\nIdeal Background\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is preferred.\nCertification: Certification is not required at this level.\nExperience: This position requires 2+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nFamiliarity with the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC).\n\nFamiliarity with specifications and installation details of construction bulk materials and equipment.\n\nKnowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.\n\nAbility to perform lighting level and voltage drop calculations.\n\nAbility to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for both lighting and power applications.\n\nAbility to determine motor control center loading.\n\nAbility to route conduit and cable tray and calculate tray and conduit fill.\n\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\n\nProficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.\n\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nVirtual team skills and cross divisional relationships continue to develop, and providing interoffice execution support under close supervision.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\n\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
