Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for facilitating root cause analysis of plant or business operations failures and helping to prioritize outage work orders based upon risk and criticality. Working alongside the client’s reliability team, the individual is expected to make an immediate impact on operational efficiency by prioritizing the actions of the site aimed at improved asset availability.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nProviding professional engineering services in partnership with other Teammates and client representatives on projects\nLeading Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) teams including the use of the Apollo RCFA method where appropriate.\nAnalyzing mechanical failures and recommending corrective action.\nLead Reliability-Focused Failure Modes and Effects Analysis teams where appropriate.\nMaintain continued education in the vibration, thermography, and lubrication fields to recommend improvements to current practices\nIdentify and develop work sharing packages for interoffice execution support, providing leadership as appropriate to ensure communication and execution of work.\nIdeal Background\nEducation: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with metallurgy-related experience or coursework.\nCertification: Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.\nExperience: This position requires 10 or more years of relevant industrial experience in reliability engineering.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in fixed equipment design, fabrication, repair, inspection, or related disciplines in Petrochemical facilities\nAbility to work in an industrial plant environment, including climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, entering confined spaces, and performing physical activities such as walking, crawling, crouching, balancing, and sitting.\nFlexibility to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays, and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExtensive knowledge of ASME and API codes related to equipment construction, repair, rerating, and alterations.\nWorking knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and techniques.\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and construction drawings.\nKnowledge of API 571, API 574, API 575, and NBIC standards.\nExperience using SAP.\nExperience conducting Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), including methodologies such as Cause Mapping and TapRooT®.\nExperience in FMEA and RCM\nFamiliarity with industry-standard fixed equipment design and fitness-for-service software applications.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit or stand for long periods of time.\nAbility to walk reasonable distances, potentially on uneven ground or catwalks, and ascend stairs.\nAbility to climb ladders and otherwise navigate through industrial/manufacturing settings and around equipment/installations.\nAbility to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and crawl.\nAbility to maneuver in confined spaces.\nAbility to reach with both arms.\nAbility to walk reasonable distances, potentially on uneven ground, and ascend stairs.\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
