Work with the Overhaul Manager to identify potential effects on shutdown duration.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nPrepare P6 schedule using parameters supplied by Overhaul Contractor Manager.\nIssue the baseline draft schedule by May 1.\nReview shutdown and start up logic with relevant plant management.\nExport all relevant activities from planning system.\nAssist in the conduct of validation meetings to fine tune the schedule in accordance with the Overhaul Charter.\nPrepare management monitoring graphs to be used during the shutdown.\nIssue 3-day look ahead to all area managers and craft general foremen.\nChair daily update meetings to gather data from area managers to maintain an accurate schedule.\nInput all SCR work into the schedule.\nNotify the Overhaul Manager of any slippage in the schedule.\nUse the histograms to determine the lay-off strategy for each trade and provide this information to the Overhaul Contractor Manager.\nIdeal Background\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field is highly preferred.\nCertification: AACE International or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is preferred.\nExperience: This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\nKnowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.\nExtreme attention to detail.\nPossesses a comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines.\nUnderstanding of existing and potential customer deliverable expectations and preferences.\nAbility to set priorities.\nAbility to effectively discuss and correspond with engineering disciplines and/or contractors to ascertain and understand pertinent information concerning schedules, scopes of work, estimates and/or project costs.\nCoaching and mentoring skills and experience.\nExcellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.\nExcellent presentation skills.\nExcellent organizational skills.\nKnowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.\nKnowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all project controls deliverables.\nExperienced in scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work.
