This role is responsible for ensuring excellence in cost control, estimating, scheduling, forecasting, project reporting, and project execution while fostering teammate development and delivering exceptional client service.\nThe ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive project controls experience, and the ability to lead multiple complex projects and teams across multiple offices.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of project controls professionals.\nProvide oversight of project controls deliverables, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency.\nManage project cost control, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.\nDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, progress metrics, and change management processes.\nSupport project execution through effective planning, resource allocation, and performance tracking.\nReview and validate engineering and construction estimates while monitoring project financial performance.\nCollaborate with Accounting, Operations, project teams, and clients to achieve project objectives.\nDrive continuous improvement through the implementation of project controls best practices, systems, and technology.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts.\nPromote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field preferred.\nProfessional certifications related to Project Management, Planning, Scheduling, Estimating, or Cost Control are preferred.\nMinimum of 10+ years of industrial experience in project controls, cost control, estimating, scheduling, and project management.\nDemonstrated success leading project controls teams and supporting complex engineering and construction projects.\nExperience managing projects and teams across multiple offices and locations preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong knowledge of project controls, cost management, estimating, scheduling, and forecasting.\nExperience supporting engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.\nProven leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development skills.\nAbility to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining strong business judgment and attention to detail.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\nStrong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.\nExperience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and performance metrics.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and other project controls tools.\nExperience with cost estimating, resource planning, earned value management, and progress reporting.\nAbility to drive accountability, lead change, and leverage technology to improve project execution.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
