In this role, you will lead small capital projects (less than $5MM). Duties will be performed under general supervision in Gonzales, LA.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nDevelop project plans and specifications (scope, budget, and schedule). \nCoordinate project activities and resources. \nMonitor project progress and make adjustments as needed. \nEnsure compliance with technical standards and regulations. \nCollaborate with engineers and project managers. \nLead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resources \nDevelop estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant executed projects within SAP \nEnsure all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and ORI’s and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner \nEnsure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designs \nProvide field supervision / support during projects execution \nManage Project Safety Maintain projects on budget and schedule \nEnsure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer \nBasic understanding of operating plant environment \nUnderstands quality standards as outlined by site\nConduct Safety Kickoff Meeting with contractors and operations team prior to start of project execution \nClearly communicate safety goals and standards to contractors.\nComplete JSA and participate in the Safe Work Permit issuance process.\nLead daily morning safety / toolbox meetings with all crafts.\nEnsure all contractors on site for project execution have submitted an Emergency Action Plan prior to mobilization \nParticipate in Safety Sampling and Critical Safety Audits during outages \nAttend and contribute to monthly Safety Meetings. \nObtain TWIC, passport and complete refinery background checks\nIdeal Background\nEducation: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.\nRegistration: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.\nExperience: Requires 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering and project management.\nStrong project management and technical skills. \nExperience with engineering projects in a plant or industrial environment. \nExcellent communication and teamwork skills. \nKnowledge of industry standards and regulations\nKnowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.\nKnowledge and application of company engineering standards and project controls tools.\nAbility to lead a team to deliver on commitments.\nA comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.\nDemonstrated proficiency in complex technical issues coordination and resolution.\nAbility to manage client relationships in complex situations.\nAbility to relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional and trade associations.\nAbility to handle stress with poise.\nAbility to delegate authority appropriately.\nAbility to clearly communicate expectations and requirements to team members and to structure accountability.\nOrganizational skills, ability to set priorities.\nCoaching and mentoring skills and experience.\nExcellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.\nExcellent presentation skills.\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
