As a Project Manager, you'll play a critical role in delivering projects ranging from facility upgrades and process improvements to complex capital projects within highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nWe're looking for a technically grounded project leader with an engineering background and experience managing projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or specialty chemical facilities.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nManage engineering and design projects for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemical clients.\n\nSuccessfully managing commercial contract(s) on one or more projects of various sizes, as required. Ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner, Project Change Notices are processed, monthly Office Earnings Report (OER) is reviewed in the time allotted, and the project(s) plan in Vision is current.\n\nLead project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination activities.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring project objectives are achieved.\n\nCoordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, controls, structural, and architectural disciplines.\n\nCollaborate with clients to develop project scope, execution strategies, budgets, and schedules.\n\nMonitor project financial performance, scope management, risk mitigation, and overall project health.\n\nFacilitate project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder communications.\n\nEnsure project deliverables meet technical, quality, regulatory, and client requirements.\n\nSupport front-end planning, conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and startup activities.\n\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and value-added solutions for clients.\n\nMentor junior engineers and project team members while fostering a collaborative project environment.\n\nParticipating in development of all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions on assigned projects.\n\nFamiliarity with project scope, specifications, deliverables required by client, and design criteria upon assignment to a project and gaining Hargrove team alignment of schedule and budget in regard to deliverables required. Work with client team to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with stakeholders.\n\nMaintaining timely and accurate reporting including weekly and monthly reports utilizing a comprehensive action item list.\n\nEnsuring project documentation is properly reviewed and approved by the client.\n\nPromoting continuing positive relations with the client building on long term relationships that continue to add additional services.\n\nCompleting project closeout as required by the client.\n\nEffectively and proactively managing the client needs at all stages of the project.\n\nIdeal Background\nEducation: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university is preferred.\nCertification: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.\nExperience: This position requires 8+ years of engineering, design, or project execution experience preferable in life sciences, biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExperience managing engineering and design projects throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nDemonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.\n\nExperience supporting capital projects, facility expansions, process improvements, or manufacturing infrastructure upgrades.\n\nExperience within GMP-regulated manufacturing facilities.\n\nFamiliarity with FDA-regulated environments and life sciences industry standards.\n\nExperience supporting cleanroom, laboratory, utilities, process systems, or pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.\n\nAbility to manage client relationships in complex situations.\n\nAbility to relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional and trade associations.\n\nUnderstanding of existing and potential customer needs and preferences.\n\nAbility to delegate authority appropriately.\n\nAbility to clearly communicate expectations and requirements to team members and to structure accountability.\n\nAbility to set priorities.\n\nDemonstrated leadership ability with team orientation.\n\nCoaching and mentoring skills and experience.\n\nExcellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nExcellent presentation skills.\n\nExcellent leadership and organizational skills.\n\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\n\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
