Responsibilities include strategic Supply Chain Management planning, developing requests for quote, evaluating commercial proposals, negotiating with suppliers, awarding purchase orders, and providing status reports to the project team and Client.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nDeveloping procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various projects.\n\nInterpreting project scopes, statements of work and project schedules.\n\nMentoring less experienced Procurement Teammates.\n\nAssisting in the development of project manhour estimates.\n\nLeading a Procurement Team on various sizes and types of projects.\n\nIdeal Background\nEducation: HighSchoolDiplomaorequivalentisrequired.BachelororMasterof\nSciencedegreeinrelatedfieldfromanaccrediteduniversityishighly preferred.\nRegistration: CertifiedProfessionalinSupplyManagement(CPSM)ishighlypreferred.\nExperience: Thispositionrequiresat least 20 yearsofrelevantindustrial experience inSupply Chain Management, specifically in Project Procurement.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nFamiliarity with and utilization of department standards.\n\nFamiliarity with the execution of heavy industrial projects including chemical, refining, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing.\n\nKnowledge and application of company standards.\n\nAbility to organize effectively and execute purchase orders/ contracts.\n\nComplete understanding of contract language and commercial terms and conditions.\n\nWorking knowledge and understanding of contract law and the UCC.\n\nExtreme attention to detail.\n\nAbility to effectively negotiate contract conditions with suppliers and/or contractors.\n\nWorking knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS).\n\nComplete knowledge and understanding of payment terms.\n\nExcellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nProficient in the use of SAP, Ariba or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.\n\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs.\n\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time\n\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
