This work will be performed under the supervision of a professional land surveyor. Short-term travel and/or weekend work will be required.\nPrimary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nCompleting project safely and within required accuracy and timeframe.\nCoordinating with survey team and design team to ensure survey scope is clear and deliverable expectations are met.\nAssist in developing a plan of action for assigned projects.\nAdhering to existing standards of practice for surveying.\nOperate assigned field equipment in the accomplishment of fieldwork.\nAccurately measure angles, distances and other information in conformance with regulations and company standards.\nAssist in conducting surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.\nAssist in establishing construction control points for use in the installation of equipment and materials.\nSearching legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.\nReact to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.\nMaintain flexibility to meet project schedule needs based on workload of the Survey Team.\nAssist in field work for surveying and laser scanning activities.\nIdeal Background\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.\nExperience: Requires up to 2 years of relevant experience in industrial plant environment.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple measurements.\nAbility to learn the use of field instruments such as robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, and laser scanners.\nFamiliarity with laser scanning registration software or equivalent a plus.\nFamiliarity in the use of AutoCAD and Carlson Software or equivalent a plus.\nFamiliarity in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\nFamiliarity with surveying and/or civil/structural engineering terminology is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.\nAbility to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs.\nAbility to use the entire body, more often hands and arms, in handling, positioning, and moving equipment.\nAbility to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates, which may also involve walking through difficult terrain or in industrial facilities\nComfortable working at heights off scaffold, platforms or manlifts.\nAbility to drive - possesses a valid driver’s license\nHargrove Culture\nWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
