This role spans both FP&A and Strategic Finance, combining ownership of the company's planning processes with the opportunity to influence high-impact strategic decisions across the business.\nYou'll be responsible for everything from building annual operating plans and monthly forecasts to evaluating strategic investments, developing financial models from scratch, partnering with functional leaders, and solving complex analytical problems. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable thinking strategically, building scalable financial infrastructure, and rolling up their sleeves to work through the details.\nIf you enjoy building, solving ambiguous problems, and using finance to drive business decisions, we'd love to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nFinancial Planning & Performance ManagementLead business units’ annual operating plan, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.\nOwn monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance reviews.\nAnalyze business performance, identify key drivers of results, and clearly communicate insights and recommendations to leadership.\nManage budget tracking, approvals, and spending governance to ensure alignment with company priorities.\nIdentify opportunities to automate workflows and improve the quality, consistency, and speed of financial reporting.\n\nStrategic Finance & Business AnalysisLead financial analyses supporting strategic initiatives, investments, partnerships, and other key business decisions.\nBuild detailed ad hoc analyses including scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and contingency planning.\nDevelop financial recommendations by connecting operational performance, business trends, and external market dynamics.\nSupport strategic initiatives that improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term company growth\n\nFinancial Modeling & Decision SupportBuild and maintain sophisticated financial models used for planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and fundraising.\nDevelop new financial models and planning frameworks from the ground up while continuously improving existing models and processes.\nTranslate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support executive decision-making.\nDesign scalable reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics that enable teams to monitor performance and manage against targets\n\nBusiness PartnershipServe as the primary finance partner for business and functional leaders.\nWork cross-functionally to improve financial reporting, forecasting, infrastructure and operational decision-making.\n\nExecutive CommunicationPrepare and present financial updates, business performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.\nClearly communicate complex financial concepts through concise presentations and executive-ready analyses.\n\nSpecial ProjectsLead high-priority cross-functional projects as business needs evolve.\nTake ownership of ambiguous, high-impact problems that require analytical thinking, sound judgment, and collaboration across the organization.\n\nRequirements\nExperience: 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Management Consulting, or another highly analytical finance role\nStrong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial reporting\nExceptional financial modeling skills with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets\nDemonstrated ability to build financial models, processes, and reporting frameworks from scratch\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous business problems\nAbility to connect financial performance to operational drivers and business strategy\nExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership\nSelf-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable owning projects from concept through execution\nBonus Qualifications\nExperience working in hardware-intensive businesses with an understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and product economics.\nExperience in robotics, AI, autonomous systems, or other deep-tech industries.\nExperience with SQL, business intelligence tools, or large-scale data analysis.\nExperience supporting executive leadership on strategic planning and investment decisions.\nExperience scaling finance processes within a high-growth company.\nCompensation\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is between $200,000 - $300,000 annually.\nThe pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
