At HARMAN Automotive, we give you the keys to fast-track your career.\nEngineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience\n\nCombine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence\n\nAdvance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment\n\nAbout the Role\nAs a Hardware engineer you will focus on Hardware development and software testing of automotive infotainment computer systems, automotive platforms, functional block design.\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelopment, test and verification of analog and digital functional blocks (e.g. power supplies, Audio blocks, MCU/SoC units) within complex hardware architectures under considering of quality, cost and suitability for series.\nTest and analysis of application and driver software in infotainment computer systems with the aim to ensure correct functionality of software with dedicated hardware.\nSupport in design, creation and implementation of software and hardware for infotainment computer systems.\nCreation of measurement reports and technical documentation.\nSchematic entry and variant management.\nEvaluation of requirements and feasibility as well as the assistance in System Design / HW realization.\nAssisting in the technical requirements specification of purchased parts of telematics & connectivity functional blocks and in the evaluation and selection of suitable supplier.\nAssisting in the judgment of software feature fulfillment in dedicated hardware blocks.\nBasic knowledge in command shell programming and shell debugging (e.g. routines to control hardware units under Harman operating system).\nFamiliar with revision control systems (eg perforce for check-in/check-out).\nKnowledge of commonly used interfaces in infotainment systems (PCIe, UART, TDM, Video-, I2C, I2S, USB) appreciated.\nRealization of system designs, schematics and/or schematics integration of hardware applications in the range of medium to high complexity under consideration of Harman guidelines.\nGlobal cooperation with other departments as Construction, Quality, Manufacturing and Software during the development process.\nMaintenance support.\nTechnical support for internal and/or external staff in the industrialization of function items in an international environment.\n Perform technical measurements on customer site ( EMC, Thermal, functional).\nSchematic integration for low to medium complexity projects\nDesign verification and Bring-up activities\nCreate project documentation for projects involved in\nRedesign of existing analog/digital functional blocks according to change requests (customer change requests, PCN, PTN …)\nSupport RFI/RFQ phase for new projects\nSupport BIOS activities (timings, power up and power down sequences, etc)\nSupport for Schematic and Layout reviews\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical engineering, Information Technology or appropriate graduation or technician).\n1 up to 3 years professional experience in the HW development and verification of analog/digital applications and standalone functional units.\nKnowledge of Hardware and Software Technology, ideally in embedded area.\nBasic knowledge of programming software (i.e. C#, C++, LabView, VB…).\nKnowledge of tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE, Ansys) as well as Microsoft applications.\nBasic knowledge of operating systems (i.e. Linux, Android).\nKnowledge of the requirements inside the automotive area, especially for EMC.\nGood knowledge in spoken and written English.\nBonus Points if You Have\nExperience with infotainment/ entertainment systems (it would be a big plus).\nBasic Linux knowledge.\nKnowledge of commonly used interfaces in infotainment systems (PCIe, UART, TDM, Video, I2C, I2S, USB, MOST, SDIO …) appreciated.\n Experience with hardware debugging and using lab tools.\nStrong communications skills, both written and oral.\nVery good English knowledge, both written and verbal.\nProactivity and good communication skills.\nExcellent task and time management.\nAttention to detail and “can do” attitude.\nFlexibility\nHighly organized and multitasking.\nAnalytical & critical thinking.\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nWillingness travel (0- 20% of time) depending on the project necessities.\nWillingness to work in from our office.\n[Indicate any scheduling requirements -
