You will work with cutting-edge hardware platforms and help guide the team toward scalable, robust, and safety-aware software solutions. In this role, you will report to the Software Group Manager.\nHow You’ll Make An Impact\nLead the C++ software implementation for advanced embedded hardware platforms and HW-accelerator-based environments.\nDrive the technical execution of complex computer vision and ML-based systems for driver and cabin monitoring applications.\nPartnering closely with the group’s architect, advising on architecture and serving as delegate architect when needed.\nAct as the primary technical authority for software architecture, design decisions, and implementation quality.\nMentor engineers across the team and elevate software engineering best practices, code quality, and technical excellence.\nCollaborate closely with algorithm, system, and product teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.\nAdvance the team’s adoption of AI-assisted development tools and agent-based engineering workflows.\nOptimize software performance for real-time and resource-constrained embedded environments.\nSupport safety-aware development processes aligned with automotive industry standards and practices.\nWhat Makes You A Strong Fit\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n10+ years of professional experience developing reliable C++ software for embedded, real-time, and performance-sensitive systems.\nProven experience serving as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or senior hands-on technical authority.\nStrong expertise in modern C++ development, software architecture, multithreading, and system optimization.\nDemonstrable experience solving complex technical challenges in large-scale software systems.\nStrong ability to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence across teams.\nExperience developing software for Linux-based embedded environments.\nBonus Points if You Have\nExperience with computer vision, AI, or ML-based products, including advanced algorithms, optimization, and performance tuning.\nFamiliarity with automotive software standards and development processes including ISO 26262 and ASPICE.\nExperience working with NVIDIA CUDA, TensorRT, Qualcomm AI frameworks, or hardware accelerators.\nExperience integrating software with GPU, NPU, TPU, or similar acceleration technologies.\nKnowledge of driver monitoring systems (DMS), occupant monitoring systems (OMS), or automotive safety products.\nExperience working in global, cross-functional engineering organizations.\nThings To Know\nThis role is based in Hod Hasharon, Israel, and requires onsite collaboration three days per week. \nYou are comfortable working in a global environment with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.\nYou understand that flexibility in working hours may occasionally be required to support global collaboration.\nWhat You Can Expect\nA hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week. \nAccess to employee discounts on HARMAN and Samsung products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others).\nLearning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs.\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development.\n#LI-hybrid\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
