You will work with business domains, data product teams, Platform Engineering, Analytics, and MDM/Data Quality to turn business data into reliable, reusable, and governed data products. This role requires strong hands-on data engineering skills and the ability to independently deliver production solutions using Azure Databricks and modern engineering practices.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign, build, test, deploy, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines and transformations using Azure Databricks.\nDevelop governed data products using Delta Lake, SQL, Python, PySpark, and enterprise data engineering standards.\nWork with business and technical teams to understand source data, transformation logic, data contracts, and consumption requirements.\nImplement data quality checks, reconciliation, monitoring, metadata, lineage, and access requirements as part of production data products.\nApply CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and deployment practices to data engineering workloads.\nDevelop reusable components and follow platform golden paths and engineering standards.\nTroubleshoot data pipeline, performance, quality, and integration issues through production resolution.\nPartner with Platform Engineering on environments, platform services, deployment patterns, and technical issues.\nWork with Analytics teams to provide trusted data products for Power BI and other approved consumption patterns.\nSupport onboarding and knowledge sharing with domain data teams and contribute improvements back to common engineering patterns.\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\n5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, data platforms, or related technical roles.\nStrong experience developing production data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, or similar technologies.\nExperience with Azure Databricks or a comparable modern lakehouse platform.\nUnderstanding of data modeling, lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, batch and streaming processing, and data integration patterns.\nExperience with Git-based development, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment practices.\nWorking knowledge of data governance, access control, metadata, lineage, and data quality concepts.\nAbility to independently solve moderately complex technical problems and deliver assigned components of larger data products.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nBonus Points if You Have\nDatabricks certification or significant production Databricks experience.\nExperience with Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, Delta Live Tables / Lakeflow, or Databricks Asset Bundles.\nExperience with Azure Data Factory, Kafka, dbt, APIs, CDC, or event-driven data architectures.\nExperience building data products in a federated or domain-oriented data environment.\nFamiliarity with Power BI consumption patterns and semantic models.\nExperience working with SAP, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, HR, or other enterprise source systems.\nExperience collaborating across global teams.\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nAbility to work within the hybrid established for the position.\nAbility to collaborate with global teams across North America, Europe, and India, including occasional flexibility in working hours.\nWillingness to travel occasionally when required.\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location.\nAccess to employee discounts on world-class products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and more).\nExtensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University.\nCompetitive wellness benefits.\nTuition reimbursement.\n\"Be Brilliant\" employee recognition and rewards program.\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development.\nSalary Ranges:\n$ 90,750 - $ 133,100HARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
