This role is well suited for candidates with a background in computer science, information systems, or software engineering who have progressed into managing complex technical projects while maintaining a strong connection to technology and engineering.\nBased in China, you will support the establishment of a Digitalization Center of Excellence for Asia, serving as both a technical and organizational interface between global teams and a growing local engineering organization. Beyond project coordination, you will contribute technical insight, challenge existing approaches, and help shape the application of AI solutions within manufacturing environments.\nYou will be part of the Digitalization Global Manufacturing team.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead complex digitalization projects with strong software, data, and AI components\nAct as a technical counterpart for software and AI engineers\nTranslate manufacturing problems into clear technical and project scopes\nCoordinate global stakeholders and China-based development teams\nAnchor and orchestrate activities of the Asia Digitalization CoE\nDrive agile execution (priorities, risks, dependencies, delivery)\nSupport and scale AI-based manufacturing use cases\nCommunicate progress and technical decisions clearly to global teams\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nDegree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, or similar\n7+ years experience in software-heavy or digitalization projects\nStrong background in software development projects\nHands-on technical mindset, ideally prior coding experience (e.g. Python, Java, TypeScript)\nSolid understanding of cloud platforms, data architectures, and modern dev stacks\nExperience working with international, cross-functional teams\nExcellent English skills, ideally from education or work in an English-speaking environment\nComfortable working independently in a global setup\nBonus Points if You Have\nPractical experience with AI / ML or data-driven projects\nExposure to analytics platforms, data pipelines, or MLOps\nBackground as a developer, technical consultant, or solution architect\nExperience helping to build or coordinate technical teams or CoEs\nAgile certifications or strong hands-on Scrum / SAFe experience\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nFluent English in technical and professional discussions\nWillingness to travel up to 20%\nComfortable working with distributed, international tech teams\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible work environment, allowing for hybrid work one day per week for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location.\nAccess to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)\nExtensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University\nCompetitive wellness benefits\nTuition reimbursement\n“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
