When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you’ll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do everyday.\nJob Responsibilities:\nManage multi-site SW development teams through Phase-Gate new product development (NPD) process\nManage and develop SW project timelines based schedules.\nDevelop Software Requirement Document (SRD) capture from customer and product scope\nConduct regular team meetings and carry out communication with internal and external parties\nProvide regular project reports showing status of each program in development and maintain effective communication with program stakeholders such as suppliers and ODM.\nTrack progress of cost, budget and timing of program from SW perspective, reporting any variances and suggesting ways to bring program back to plan.\nPlanning, executing and monitoring development projects in accordance with the defined software/product development model\nCoordination of development activities in all of Harman’s various departments, including cross-functional team, product management team, product compliance, quality and manufacturing.\nRelentlessly execute project plan to meet schedule commitment\nOngoing risk management evaluating the risk and taking the necessary actions\nTimely escalation to senior management team when there is a major issue that would significantly impact program schedule, cost and quality which is beyond what the project team is capable of resolving\nBasic Qualifications:\nBS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science disciplines.\nMin. 6-8 years experience in Software development industry.\nMin. 3-5 years experience in Software Project Management role.\nDeep understanding of Software development experiences of audio product range (BT and WiFi speakers; Soundbar dev/QA experience preferred) and IoT connected products is an advantage.\nKnowledge of audio and video product IP technical specifications and certification requirements such as BQE, WiFi, HDMI, Dolby, DTS, Spotify, Google cast, Amazon protocols etc.\nAnalytical and pro-active decision making. strong troubleshooting skills on problem solving abilities.\nExcellent communication skills.\nCommunicate very clearly and succinctly (in English) to internal and external stakeholders on all technical and non-technical matters to persuade and influence.\nComfortable with fast-paced and multitasking environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertified project management and/or agile project management is preferred\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible work environment\nAccess to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)\nExtensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University\nCompetitive wellness benefits\nAccess to HARMAN Campus Fitness Center and Cafeteria\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
