This is an individual contributor role responsible for designing scalable collaboration solutions, establishing platform standards, and driving continuous improvement across the Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem. Working closely with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital Workplace, and business stakeholders, you will ensure SharePoint delivers a secure, modern, and highly available collaboration platform that supports HARMAN's global workforce.\nWhat You Will Do\nOwn the architecture, technical roadmap, and governance strategy for Microsoft SharePoint Online across the enterprise.\n\nDesign and implement secure, scalable, and highly available SharePoint solutions aligned with HARMAN's business and technology objectives.\n\nEstablish governance standards, site architecture, information architecture, taxonomy, permissions models, and lifecycle management processes.\n\nPartner with Cybersecurity to implement security controls, compliance policies, data protection, and access governance within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.\n\nDesign and maintain SharePoint integrations with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, and other Microsoft 365 services.\n\nLead platform modernization initiatives, migrations, and adoption of new Microsoft collaboration capabilities.\n\nDevelop architecture standards, design documentation, operational procedures, and best practices for SharePoint administration and solution development.\n\nEvaluate new Microsoft 365 capabilities and recommend improvements that enhance collaboration, productivity, security, and user experience.\n\nProvide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering, support, and project teams implementing SharePoint-based solutions.\n\nTroubleshoot complex architectural and platform issues while serving as the highest level of technical escalation.\n\nPartner with Microsoft and third-party vendors to evaluate technologies, optimize platform capabilities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nDrive platform optimization, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability of HARMAN's collaboration services.\n\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n\n5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.\n\nDeep expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, governance, information architecture, permissions management, and site lifecycle management.\n\nStrong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.\n\nExperience implementing secure collaboration solutions using Microsoft security and compliance capabilities.\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Purview, data governance, retention policies, sensitivity labels, and compliance features within Microsoft 365.\n\nExperience developing enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technical roadmaps.\n\nStrong understanding of authentication, identity management, and access control within Microsoft 365 environments.\n\nAbility to independently solve complex technical challenges and influence architecture decisions across multiple technical teams.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into enterprise collaboration solutions.\n\nBonus Points if You Have\nMicrosoft Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.\n\nExperience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, Power Apps, and PowerShell automation.\n\nExperience leading SharePoint Online migrations from legacy collaboration platforms.\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Viva, Microsoft Syntex, and AI-powered collaboration capabilities.\n\nExperience supporting global Microsoft 365 environments within multinational organizations.\n\nExperience integrating SharePoint with enterprise business applications and third-party collaboration platforms.\n\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nYou are willing to work within a global organization and collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.\n\nYou are comfortable participating in occasional after-hours activities when required to support critical platform initiatives or production incidents.\n\nSuccessfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment\n\nWhat We Offer\nAbility to work from an office in Novi, MI\n\nAccess to employee discounts on world-class products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and more)\n\nExtensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University\n\nCompetitive wellness benefits\n\nTuition reimbursement\n\n“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program\n\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development\n\nSalary Ranges:\n$ 125,250 - $ 183,700HARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
