This role will leverage your knowledge of electronic design and databases. You will collaborate with the team to support various stages of the electronic development life cycle. In this role, you will report to the Electronics Engineering Manager.\nWhat You Will Do\nResponsible for hardware design at system, PCBA, module, circuit, and component levels, based on design specifications to meet all product requirements.\nCarry out feasibility study on new products against requirements, assist in defining a feasible architecture/concept and create a realistic development plan.\nEnsure product quality from ODM/OEMs meets Harman standards and requirements.\nComply with Harman documentation structure, standards and design rules during project execution.\nParticipate in technical studies and innovation projects to strengthen know-how and develop new technologies in EE team.\nIn day-to-day work, demonstrate and focus on competencies in the following aspects: Leadership, Change-Orientation, Judgement, Collaboration and Results-Driven.\nTrain and coach junior engineers to achieve high level of technical competence.\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.\n12+ years of working experience in design, development, and manufacturing of consumer audio products (like Bluetooth battery-powered portable speakers, party speakers, FM/DAB radios, soundbar speakers and so on related audio/video products).\nAble to lead technical discussions/projects with technology partners; Perform EE architectural design independently; Understand system design and performance tradeoff across multiple functional disciplines.\nAble to make decisions with little or no guidance; Anticipate most issues, plan mitigation solutions, and provide timely feedback to management. Able to propose and verify potential solutions to meet new challenges and emerging needs.\nLead investigation on Audio/Video-industry technologies and platforms for application in Harman products; Excellent insight on market/competitor products analysis; Drive cost optimization initiative that makes sense for the business.\nIndependently lead innovation brainstorm sessions with fellow engineers; Publish technical papers on industry conferences or file high-quality patent disclosures.
