You will collaborate with SoC suppliers, hardware teams, architects, and application teams to deliver high-quality automotive software from platform bring-up through production release.\nHow You’ll Make An Impact\nDevelop, integrate, and maintain BSP, kernel, and device driver software for Cockpit and Central Compute platforms.\nSupport platform bring-up, board support package customization, performance optimization, and production software releases.\nDevelop and debug software across Linux, Android, and/or QNX operating systems.\nCollaborate with SoC suppliers, hardware teams, architects, and application teams to resolve complex system issues.\nDrive feature development and troubleshooting in one or more domains such as Virtualization, USB, Camera, Ethernet, Display, Graphics, Audio, or Power Management.\nSupport system integration, vehicle validation, customer issue investigation, and field issue resolution.\nWhat Makes You A Strong Fit\nBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.\n3+ years of embedded software development experience, including BSP, kernel, or device driver development.\nHands-on experience with Qualcomm automotive platforms (SA8155, SA8295, Gen4/Gen5 or equivalent) is required.\nStrong kernel development experience in Linux, Android, and/or QNX.\nStrong C/C++ programming and debugging skills.\nExperience with BSP bring-up, boot process, device drivers, interrupt handling, memory management, and system performance optimization.\nFamiliarity with at least one of the following domains: Virtualization, USB, Camera, Ethernet, Display, Graphics, Audio, or Power Management.\nExperience with development and debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, Lauterbach, Trace32, or performance analysis tools.\nExperience working on production automotive programs and cross-functional development teams.\nFluent English communication skills.\nBonus Points if You Have\nExperience with NVIDIA automotive platforms (Orin, Thor, DriveOS, or equivalent).\nExperience with Hypervisor and Virtualization technologies, including QNX Hypervisor, KVM, Xen, or Jailhouse.\nExperience with Automotive Ethernet, AVB/TSN, SOME/IP, or networking stack development.\nKnowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), or ASPICE.\nExperience supporting premium OEM programs such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW, Audi, or similar.\nThings To Know\nStrong analytical and system-level debugging capability.\nSelf-driven with strong ownership and problem-solving mindset.\nAbility to work effectively in a global and cross-functional engineering environment.\nWillingness to support customer activities and occasional international travel.\nPassion for building high-performnce automotive software platforms.\nWhat You Can Expect\nA hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite four days a week (if applicable).\nAccess to employee discounts on HARMAN products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others)\nLearning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs\nWellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being\nAccess to the HARMAN campus fitness center and cafeteria, where available\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
